Kwara State Governor and Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is really living up to the billings as a hands on administrator and a leader who truly knows what impactful governance is all about.
Following the discontinuance of the scandalous fuel subsidy by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Federal Government and the inevitable need to cushion its unavoidable painful impact on the citizens, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq showed what true leadership in trying times means by taking the lead in coming up with a comprehensive, well thought out and people focused measures to ameliorate the effect of the fuel subsidy removal on Kwarans.
Many Governors have since adopted the AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq Body of Palliatives as a template for their States as interventionist measures to cushion the painful effects of the policy.

“Since Thursday Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has been putting smiles on the faces of doctors in the State. I got my own alert on Saturday and it was a significant raise. It’s truly heartwarming.
“It is even more heartwarming given that we did not need to give a strike warning notice, nor embark on actual strike before this improved condition of service is put in place. I can say that about 80 per cent of our requests has been met without have any meeting with the Governror. It is truly commendable.
“With this new condition of service, not only will the doctors in the State find no need to look elsewhere, it will also attract more doctors to the State Health Service. It will strengthen health delivery service in the State. We are happy with the Governor.”
